Update on us and a few pictures.......

We are still rockin' along....Noah is finishing up Unit 3 of 10 and Jesse is about to start unit 5 of 10 in their Lifepacks! Jesse is going to be done early this year so we are going to start 2nd grade and then switch curriculum's next year. I have also decided that I am going to enroll them in a program that keeps the grades and stuff for us. It just makes me feel better and helps me know that I am doing enough! I really am surprised it is going as well as it is....I love it and I think the boys do to!
We are headed to the zoo on Friday so they are super excited about that!

These were taken at Meme's house a few weeks ago. We went to help take care of her after her back surgery! They enjoyed doing school there! There is no place like Meme's....especially in the fall!

This is the other Mrs. Estes....she has subbed a few times and makes library runs....she is also known as Mamaw!

Welcome to Our School......

Welcome to my new blog! I have had lots of questions about our homeschooling from how we are doing to what curriculum we use so I started this blog to answer all of those questions and to document our adventures rather good or bad.
I added two tabs so far right above that you can click on to read about our schedule and our curriculum.
As far as how it's going....we are doing great! Of course some days are better than others but most of the time we do pretty well! Jesse is one unit ahead and Noah is right on course. IF we keep up at this pace they will both finish their grade levels early so we will start the next grade. Then stop in May like everyone else.

Now to the biggest question I have....HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU DO IT?

Well....let me say....I have MORE time now that I homeschool because I am not running the roads constantly taking or picking someone up from a different campus. Now...my ME times is almost zilch but the memories I have made with these boys in the last 6 weeks are PRICELESS!

Sometimes I wonder if their teachers from the years past wonder "OMG...those poor boys....they can't be learning...they were doing good to turn in homework!" and while the homework part may be true the other is not...THEY ARE LEARNING! It seemed like by the time we got home from "other" things when they were in school we didn't have a lot of time to do homework and have family time too. Homeschooling we get ALL of that out of the way before Taylor and Dad get home and the rest of the time is family time. (of course Taylor has homework but even he doesn't have a lot like most public schools)

I hope you will continue to follow us and even the boys will blog from time to time!
